Mountain biking was always a passion from a very young age. Running was done sporadically with friends whenever a half marathon was suggested as something fun. Triathlon was always something i showed an interest in but ruled out as i thought I had no chance of doing the swim. After trying with friends while they were training for their first Tri, I thought swimming was just better left alone. Then when injured i gave it one last chance. In that session i managed 20 lengths. The next 40 lengths and so on…..
Years later after a lot of hard work swimming is now one of my stronger disciplines highlighting the fact that if you persevere you can achieve more than you first thought! Now after years of training and competing I still have the hunger to improve and see where my personal boundaries might be?
