Ironman Wales (Tenby) Sunday 9th September

IRONMAN Wales is now well established as having one of the most challenging bike and run courses on the IRONMAN calendar. This is balanced Tenby’s North Beach providing the most spectacular swim location, possibly of any IRONMAN event, and the inspiration gained from one of the most vocal and enthusiastically-supported events with tens of thousands of spectators who turn out for race day on all three disciplines.

Swim; 2.4 miles in open water.
Bike, 112 miles the bike course.
Run, 26.2 miles the run course is four laps in the town.

26th Derby Triathlon Sunday 9th September

Sprint triathlon consists of 400m swim (Pool based 16 lengths), 18km bike around Derbyshire country lanes, 5k run through Etwall

More than 5,000 of the world’s best elite and age group triathletes headed to Queensland for the final race of the 2018 season. Athletes representing 46 nations will be competing at Southport Broadwater Parklands, the site of the highly successful ITU World Triathlon Gold Coast and home to the 2009 ITU World Championships. The 2018 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final will celebrate the diversity of the sport of triathlon with athletes competing in Elite, Under 23, Junior and Elite Paratriathlon categories as well as the U23/Jnr Mixed Team Relay and Age Group – Standard and Sprint Distance.

Darren Jones represented GB in the Sprint distance with a time of 01:07:19 (25th in his age category)

The Brutal Extreme Triathlon (Half Solo) Saturday 15th September

The Brutal Extreme Triathlons start in the beautiful (and slightly chilly) Lake Padarn. The bike course goes through stunning scenery and over some challenging hills. And finally, the run takes you on an undulating trail around the lake and up and down Wales’ highest mountain, Snowdon.
The Half Brutal – 1.2 mile swim – 57.98 mile bike – 14.7 mile run (The run has 2 sections, a 5.2 mile lap that goes around Llyn Padarn and an ascent and descent of Snowdon, which is approx 9.5 miles from transition and back).

Consist of a 750-metre swim, 22k bike and 5k run.

45th Berlin Marathon Sunday 16th September 2018

The Berlin Marathon is a major running and sporting event held annually in Berlin, Germany. The official marathon distance of 42.195 kilometres is set up as a city-wide road race where professional athletes and amateur runners jointly participate. Initiated in 1974
