Grafman Middle Distance Triathlon – Sunday
This consist of a 1.2 mile swim (this was reduced to 950 metres due to the water temperature) , 56.5 mile bike and 13.1 run in less than eight and a half hours
The swim started with a mass start with over 600 competitors all starting together (was a bit crowded with arms and legs everywhere in the water) , then the bike course which took you through some of the small local villages and had some nice little hills included. The run was a multi lap course around the edge of Grafham water reservoir in very hot conditions

Outlaw Half (Middle Distance Triathlon) Nottingham – Sunday
Nottingham`s Outlaw Half Triathlon was held at the National Watersports Centre. The athletes had to complete a 1.2 mile swim in the regatta lake, a 56.5 mile bike ride around areas of Nottingham and then back to the Watersports centre for a 13.1 mile run around the lake and the River Trent paths, also in hot conditions . This is a multi lap course. The event started at 06:15hrs on Sunday and the athletes had 9 hours to complete it.
We had several members taking part in this event for the first time (also for some the first time at this distance) and some who had completed it before.
Rich Buchanan 6:21:58 – a good time as Richard had a crash on the bike on the first corner
Tim Gould 5:24:59 – great time and 28th in his age category

Coventry Sprint Triathlon – Sunday
This event took place at the Xcel Leisure centre in Coventry and consist of a 400m pool swim, 20km Cycle and a 5km run
We had 4 team members compete
Matt Smith (Pictured on the right) – Finished 16th overall with a great time of 1:14:43 (also a new PB on last years time for this event)
Clare Matthews (Pictured on the right) – 1:31:40 – great time for Clare`s first Triathlon

Ironman Barcelona 70.3 – Sunday 1.2 mile swim, 56.5 mile bike and 13.1 Mile run
Consist of a one-loop swim in the Mediterranean Sea that starts and finishes on the beach of Calella. The 90 km bike heads inland on closed roads before returning to the transition area on the beach. The two-loop run heads along the coast to a turnaround at Pineda.
Ron Mahoney (Pictured on the right) completed this in 5:09:28 and was 10th overall in his age category
Worcester Half Marathon – Sunday
Andrea Cooper finished with a great time 2:06:26
Snowdonia Slateman Triathlon – Sunday
The full distance triathlon, which takes place on the Sunday, features a 1000m swim in the historically rich Lake Padarn. This is followed by a 51 km cycle through the winding roads and stunning climbs of Snowdonia National Park. Taking you through Ogwen and Pen y Pass under the watchful gaze of such iconic mountains as Tryfan, Moel Siabod, the Snowdonia horseshoe amongst others. The triathlon is rounded off with a beautiful 11 km run through the abandoned quarries and trails that surround the twin lakes of Padarn and Peris.

Snowdonia Slateman Savage – Saturday and Sunday
Competitors will take on both the Sprint (400m swim, 2okm bike and 6km run) and Full distances (1000m swim, 51km cycle and 11km run) of the Slateman, which combine to create one of the great triathlon feats available in the UK
