The race season looks to be in full swing now, with some great results from those who took part in Ironman Mallorca 70.3 and Velo Birmingham last weekend, and many other Titans due to race over the coming few weeks. I’m sure you’ve already all seen the new #TitanChamps competition which will run across the season, so don’t forget to let us know how you get on (and share a selfie from the race!) to collect your points.
We also hope as many Titans as possible will be able to join us next month at our Cycle Social Weekend in Rutland. Don’t forget to RSVP – full details below!
The May Social Meet Up will be at The Tame Otter in Hopwas, Tamworth on Saturday 25th May (from 7pm). We are going to trial switching the social meet up to a Saturday this month which will hopefully give more people the chance to drop in (and allows for a later night!)
This will be an informal drink open to both members and non-members, and any family & friends who want to tag along. We hope as many Titan’s as possible will be able to drop in for a quick drink!
Book Now: Cycle Social Weekend – 14th-16th June – Rutland Full details for next month’s Cycle & Social Weekend are now online! Check Eventbrite for all the info. Please make sure you book your place on this ride via Eventbrite, this ensures the club is covered from an insurance point of view and helps us make sure we have planned/ catered for the right numbers.
Open to all Titan members, families and friend, this, the second running of Titan Social promises to be another fantastic event and we hope as many Titans as possible will be able to join us!
Last month we unveiled a club-wide competition to run throughout the year, the Titan Racing League Championships (or #TitanChamps for short) a reminder of how it works and the latest standings are below. Click the image to see the full leader-board.
Top Tip: Those at the top of the leaderboard have already figured out that sharing a selfie and racing in club kit are a great way to rack up bonus points. With the bonuses you can earn a lot of points from shorter races, so get out there and race regularly to climb the table!
We’ll keep an eye on Strava & Facebook etc for member’s event results, however to ensure we don’t miss anything (and to get your bonus points for posting photos from the race etc) let us know your results in the Facebook Members Group on WhatApp, or just e-mail them directly to Ryan (Racing@titantriathlon.co.uk) and we will make sure you get your points!
How it works
Full details of the scoring and rules can be found here, but to put it simply: the more you race, the more points you earn! Titan Members will get points for participating in races across the season (with a few selfie bonuses available too!) and we will rank everyone into an overall league table.
We hope everyone will be able to get involved and be competitive, no matter what distances you are racing this year!
Club race reports for April are now online- check it out to see what racing your fellow Titan’s have been up. It’s great to share what everyone in the club has been up, so to ensure your race results are included in the next update (and you get your #TitanChamps points!) please don’t forget to post details in the WhatsApp or Facebook Groups or message Ryan directly.
