Open to all Titan members, families and friend, this, the second running of Titan Social promises to be another fantastic event.
Titan Weekend Format
Friday: We will be at the campsite Friday evening for anyone wanting to stop over on the Friday before the ride
Saturday: Breakfast will be available, and the ride will be starting at 9 am. Saturday evening, we are making a few changes from last year, this year we plan to head out and bring back chips and pizza for everyone who books it, this will mean that our dedicated support team lead by Bex has a much more chilled weekend too.
Sunday: Breakfast will be available for everyone before we help clear, pack up and all make our way home. There is plenty of places to visit locally if you want to make a day of it.
Location again is Lyndon Top Campsite. The cost is £10 per night per tent/van for 2 adults (children are free). It is £4 per extra adult per unit. The site is basic but as we are only there for one or two nights, it will cover our needs.
Format of the cycle
We have a change to the format this year based on some of the feedback from last years event. We plan that everyone will leave at the same time and follow the same initial route and break off based on distance. We have two main courses, with an option of a century ride for those wanting a few extra miles.
The routes are
- Medium route: 45.58mi with 2,440ft of elevation gain – https://www.strava.com/routes/18307851
- Long route: 74.98mi with 4,587ft of elevation gain – https://www.strava.com/routes/18307754
- Century route: 100.54mi with 6,766ft of elevation gain – https://www.strava.com/routes/18526821
These are preliminary routes and may change slightly before the event; we will issue an update if there are any changes week before the event.
We ask that if you have a device that can store and navigate the route that you do this for the weekend. The course is not signed, and we will not have any detailed maps of the route available.
We have located two cafe stop options, first is on the combined route at 27 miles (http://wymondhamwindmill.co.uk/) and second shortly after on long course at 36 miles (https://ferneleysicecream.co.uk/). When we know the numbers of riders, and which route you want to ride in we can pick the most appropriate cafe stop.
If you wish to help out at the event, then please let us know, and we have a few jobs that may need some extra help with.

Anyone younger than 18, can cycle but must be accompanied by a responsible adult and as the club does not have members below 18, they are the complete responsibility of the accompanying adult. Also locally there are my off-road cycle paths circulating Rutland Water along with Rutland aqua park.
